The number of 4cm radius balls needed is 8
Given data :
Smaller ball radius = 4 cm
Bigger ball radius = 8 cm
So,
Smaller ball volume = {4/3 × π × (4)³} cm³
Bigger ball volume = {4/3 × π × (8)³} cm³
So,
Number of smaller ball needed
= (Volume of the bigger ball/ volume of the smaller ball)
={ 4/3 × π × (8)³ } ÷ {4/3 × π × (4)³}
= 8³/4³
= 512/64
= 8 (answer)
