Cardiac output is the volume of blood pumped by the heart per minute(mL blood/min)

Cardiac Output in mL/min = heart rate (beats/min) X stroke volume (mL/beat)

{An average person has a resting heart rate of 70 beats/minute resting stroke volume of 70 mL/beat}

Cardiac Out = 70 X 70
                      = 4900 mL/minute

The total volume of blood in the circulatory system of an average person is about 5 liters (5000 mL).

* This can increase during exercise to as much as 25 litres/min in fit young people and 35 litres/min, or briefly even more, in elite endurance athletes.

How much blood is needed by the brain? Approximately 20% of the blood flowing from the heart is pumped to the brain. The brain needs constant blood flow in order to keep up with the heavy metabolic demands of the neurons. Please rate me as brainkiest
