It of course depends on the definition of “direct democracy”.
Most people define the term as meaning that the people (either in an assembly, or by votes), exercise all power directly - or at least do so concerning the legislative power (making laws, i.e. there would be no parliament).
With this definition, there is currently no country having direct democracy on a national level, and the only historical example I’m aware of is Athens (with the caveat of people meaning men and non-slaves).
