VOLUME OF CUBE = a^3

                                 = 3^3

                                 = 27 CUBIC INCH

VOLUME OF CUBOID = lbh

                                     = 9 * 12 * 9

                                     = 972 CUBIC INCH

NO. OF. CHOCOLATES = VOLUME OF CUBOID / VOLUME OF CUBE

                                        =972 / 27

                                         =36

36 CUBES COULD BE PLACED IN THE BOX.

Answer:

VOLUME OF CUBE =a^ ^ 3

=3^ ^ 3

=27 CUBIC INCH

VOLUME OF CUBOID = lbh

=9^ * 12^ * 9

=972 CUBIC INCH

NO. OF. CHOCOLATES = VOLUME OF CUBOID / VOLUME OF CUBE

=972/27

=36

36 CUBES COULD BE PLACED IN THE BOX.
