Volume of bigger box = 4 x 4 x 4 = 64 cm³

Volume of smaller box = 2 x 2 x2 = 8 cm³

Required number of cubes = 64/8 = 8

So 8 cubes can be packed

Hope This Helps You!

Assume,
Cube of side 2cm = S1
Cube of side 8 cm = S2

now ,
No. of cubes of size S1 can be packed in a cubical box S2 = vol^{m} of S2 / Vol ^{m} of S1

so we have ,
Lenth of each side of cube S2 = s = 4 cm
 vol^{m} of S2  = [tex] s^{3}  (4)^{3} = 64  cm^{3}
Lenth of each side of cube S1 = s = 2 cm
 vol^{m} of S1  = [tex] s^{3}  (2)^{3} = 8  cm^{3}

⇒No. of cubes of size S1 can be packed in a cubical box S2 = 64 / 8
                                                                                                 =8
