So, radius of the wall r = 7/2 m

and depth/height of the wall = 20 m

Now, volume = πr2 h

= (22/7)*(7/2)2 *20

= (22*7*7*20)/(7*2*2)

= 11*7*10

= 770 m3

So, 770 m3 of earth must be dug out to sink a well...
