Question :)

  • How many cubical blocks, each with edges of length 5 inches, are needed to fill a rectangular box that has inside dimensions of 15 inches by 20 inches by 25 inches?

Solution :)

  • For this type of question we have to take volumes.

  • First find volume of rectangular box and cubical blocks.

  • After that divide and you get answer

Volume of rectangular box :-

 = lbh \\  = 15 \times 20 \times 25 \\  = 7500 { \: cm}^{ 3}

Volume of cubical block :-

 =  {l}^{3}  \\  =  {5}^{3}  \\  = 125 { \: cm}^{3}

Required block :-

 =  \frac{7500}{125}  \\  \\  = 60 \: block
