Pranjal01: FIITJEE ka question hai??
Pranjal01: Oh.
adiraghosh: Answer given by Pranjal is correct Karan. The shell is 3p and p sub-shell can have maximum 6 electrons. Allen mein what’s the question and page number?
adiraghosh: 1 orbital can have maximum 2 electrons. But, according to the question, there are 3 orbitals possible for the given quantum numbers therefore total (3x2=) 6 electrons can fit in there. Please explain if you got some other answer.
adiraghosh: As you know the sub shell mentioned is 3p. Therefore 3px, 3py and 3pz are possible. Each will have 2 electrons therefore total 6 electrons are possible, I’m not able to think in any other way.
