How many electrons a carbon atom share with other carbon atoms in formation of acetylene molecule?

Each carbon atom in ethane forms four single bonds, one to each of three hydrogen atoms and one to the neighboring carbon atom. However, in some organic molecules, a carbon atom shares two or three pairs of electrons with another bonded atom. if two electrons pairs are shared, a double bond exists.

a carbon shares it's 4 electrons with acetylene molecule as the acetylene molecule has no octet configuration so it's needs more four electrons
