how many electrons boron have in its outer shell?Its five...Am I correct t...??

no there are totally 5 electrons in boron , first shell/ orbit has 2 electrons where as the second shell or Orbit has the tendency to occupy 8 electrons but there are only 3 electrons remaining and they occupy the outer shell .by this we can say that there are only three electrons in an outer shell in a Boron element .
