How many electrons flow through a metallic wire if a current of 0.5 ampere is passed for 2 hours

I = 0.5 A

t = 2 hrs = 2×3600 seconds = 7200seconds

we know,

Q = It

Q = 0.5 × 7200

Q = 3600C

There fore 3600 C of charge is flowing through the metallic wire.

Now, we know,

1C = 6.25 × 10^18 electrons

Then,

3600C = 6.25 × 10^18 × 3600 electrons

3600C = 22500×10^18 electrons

=> 2.25 × 10²² electrons
