The fingerlings can be put in the following ratio as given below :
Katla 20%, Rohu 30%, Mrigal 10%, Common carp 20%, Grass carp 10% and Silver carp 10%
OR
Katla 25%, Rohu 35%, Mrigal 20% and Common carp 20%.
In Punjab, Fingerlings (seed fish) can be obtained from College of Fishery, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana or Government hatcheries.
