49g of H2SO4 will produce 500ml of 1.0M acid solution. But there are 2 H+ ions in H2SO4, so the Normality = Molarity/2.

In this case, we have 500ml of 1.0M acid solution, which is 500ml of 0.5N solution.

49g of H2SO4 are required to prepare this acid solution.

Hit Google and find out the normality of concentrated sulphuric acid.

Divide that by the strength that you want. This is a dilution factor.

Divide the volume that you want by the dilution factor, to give you the volume of acid you need to add to that volume of water, to get the concentration that your after.

If you want to work in mass then you will have to adjust the volume of conc. acid to a mass by using the density. Multiply the volume of acid by the density of conc. Sulphuric acid (Google again).

Answer:

molar mass of NaoH (M) =40g mol-1

volume of solution ( V) =250ml

molarty of Naoh solution =2m

molarty =w x 1000m x v

w (mass of NaoH) =2x40x2501000=20g

hence, 20g of NaoH will be required
