how many grams of magnesium will have the same no. of atoms as 6 g of carbon?(Mg=24u;C=12u)

Your answer is --

Mole of C is

6/12 = 0.5mol

So, mole of Mg is also 0.5mole


Hence, mass of Mg is

0.5 × 24 = 12gram

As 6 g carbon = 1/2mole of carbon = 1/2NA
=> 1/2 mole of Mg will have Same number of atoms
=>x/24 = 1/2
=> x = 12
