Formula of %w/w of a solution is given by:

(mass of solute/mass of solute + mass of solvent) x 100%

Calculation:

W sucrose/W sucrose + W water x 100%

2.75/100 = W sucrose/ W sucrose + 375

2.75 (W sucrose) + 1031.25 = 100(W sucrose)

97.25 (W sucrose) = 1031.25

W sucrose = 1031.25/97.25

= W sucrose = 10.6g.

Hence mass of sucrose solution = 10.6 g
