The international court of justice contains 15 judges. The Security council and the General assembly each separately choose 15 Judges. Then they are elected jointly by a majority votes.

Their term is nine years with one third judges retiring every three year.

No two judges can belongs to one country during the joint election.
Judges can be re-elected.

The court also consist of the One-President and One Vice-President for 3 years terms.The court also appoints a registrar.
