We know that 1 meiosis leads to 4 daughter cells. Therefore, 50 meiotic divisions will be required to get 200 of an angiosperm.

This is what I think.

Keshav08: actually this is not the correct answer my friend........it is neet based question and its given answer is 250........but i haven't got it yet.
SRathore77: yeah.. i tried that too but i just can't figure out how
SRathore77: oh... i got that. See, Usually, one meiotic division forms 4 pollen grains. One meiotic division forms 1 egg cell. So, to produce 200 seeds, we need 200 pollen grains and 200 eggs. To produce 200 pollen, only 50 meiotic divisions are required and to produce 200 eggs, 200 meiotic divisions are required. Therefore, a total of 250 meiotic divisions is required to produce 200 seeds
Keshav08: Thanks bro ....you don't know how much you have helped me...........
SRathore77: I believe that is 'sis'
Keshav08: whatever it may be ......but u r really very nice.......thnx yrrrrr
SRathore77: no problem :
