  • Radius of Base = 7m..
  • Height = 24m.

Formula used :-

  • Slant height = √(r)² + (h)²
  • CSA of cone = π * r * slant height .
  • CSA of conical tent = area of cloth.

Solution :-

Radius = 7m .

→ Height = 24m.

→ Slant Height = √[(7)² + (24)²] = √[49+576] = √(625) = 25m.

So,

CSA of Cone = (22/7) * (7) * 25 = 550m².

Now,

Let x m of cloth be required to make the tent.

Than ,

→ CSA of conical Tent = Area of cloth.

→ 5 * x = 550

→ x = 110m.

Hence , 110m cloth is required to make the conical tent.
