for formation of FeO,
2Fe + O2→2FeO
mass of Fe = 56gm
by stiochiometry, 2 moles of Fe will react .
1.396g is nearly equal to 25/1000 i.e 0.025 moles of Fe
2 mol Fe → 1 mol O2
1 mol Fe→1/2 mol O2
for 0.025 mol of Fe →1/2 x 0.025
=0.0125 moles
for Fe2O3
4 Fe +3O2→2 Fe2O3
here 4 mole of Fe will react with 3 moles of O2
so,
4 mol Fe →3 mol O2
1 mol Fe → 3/4 mol O2
for 0.025 mol Fe → 0.025x3/4
=0.01875 moles of O2
