How many moles of O2 is needed to make the 5 moles of water ?

your answer is ---

Firstly , we write the equation of formation of water --

✔✔ H2 + O2 ==> 2H2O

we know that by Stoichiometric calculation , coefficient of symbol represent it's mole .

Now, we use mole to mole relation

According , to above equation

1 mole of O2 produce 2 mole of H2O

such that , 2 mole H2O = 1 mole O2

=> 1 mole H2O = 1/2 mole O2

=> 5 mole H2O = 5×1/2 = 2.5mole O2

Hence, 2.5 mole O2 is needed to make 5 mole of H2O
