n = ( l - a ) / d + 1
( 264 - 12 ) / 4 + 1
= ( 252/ 4 ) + 1
63 + 1 = 64

First term a = 12.
Common difference d = 4
last term an = 264
Now,
an = a + (n - 1) * d
264 = 12 + (n - 1) * 4
264 = 12 + 4n - 4
264 = 4n + 8
264 - 8 = 4n
256 = 4n
n = 64.
