I HAVE TWO ACTUAL AND THE EASIEST METHOD FOR YOU!
1st Method : We will find the squares and then find the difference b/w:
100^2 - 101^2 = 10000 - 10201 = 201
2nd Method : We will use an alternative method:
Let one no. be (n) and another be (n+1)
And using the formula :- { (n + 1)^2 - n^2 = (n^2 + 2n + 1) - n^2 = 2n + 1) }
We get ; =2n + 1
= 2(100) + 1
= 200 + 1
= 201
