For the production of 100 daughter cells, there has to 100 female gametes and 100 male gametes.
Which means there have to be 200 parents cells which will combine with each other to form 100 daughter cells.
The division rule for the Cyperaceae family is n + n/4 division rule, where n represents the total number of seeds, that means 100 + 100/4 = 125. There has to 200 divisions which will produce 100 cells.
