how many periods are there in the time of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. if one period is of 45 minutes.

=8 periods

As 1 period = 45 minutes

and we know that between 9 AM to 3 PM there are 6 hours = 6 × 60 = 360 minutes

i.e., 45 × 8 = 360

Thus 8 periods.
