There are 4 quantum numbers necessary.

1- Principle Quantum number(n)

2- Azimuthal Quantum number(p)

3- Magnetic Quantum number(m)

4-Spin Quantum Number(s)

Thanks.
But provided a condition too exists that all the 4 quantum should be correct.
Another question occurs as the answer is 3.Yes it is correct but not in all case.As per Pauli's exclusion principle all 4 quantum numbers can not be alike.Means 3 can be alike. So for an electron all 4 are necessary.

Answer:

answer should be 3 as the spin quantum number is used to LOCATE the electron and not specify it's position.
