Given :- How many rectangular plots can be forms by joining the vertices of a site in the form of hexagon ?

Answer :-

we know that,

  • Hexagon = 6 sided polygon.
  • Rectangle = All angles equal to 90° and sides are parallel

so,

→ Number of rectangles formed = (6/2)! / 2! = (3!/2!) = (3 * 2!)/2! = 3 .

we can conclude that, in hexagon, 3 rectangles will be formed with 3 diagonal pairs which are parallel .

therefore, 3 rectangular plots can be forms by joining the vertices of a site in the form of hexagon .
