Circumference of the wheel=2πr
=2×22/7×70/2=220 cm²
Distance to be cover by the wheel=4.4 km=440000 cm
No.of revolutions the wheel will make=220×440000
=96800000(Ans.)

rambokingp3yy4n: the circumference is not asked diameter is asked
rambokingp3yy4n: ok
rambokingp3yy4n: recheck
Anonymous: but to find the no.of revolutions you have to find the circumference first.

heya!

here's ur answer...

given \: diameter \: of \: the \: wheel \: is \: 70cm \\ therfore \: its \: radius \: is = \frac{70}{2} = 35cm \\ \\ circumference \: of \: the \: wheel = 2\pi \: r \\ = 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 35 \\ = 44 \times 5 \\ = 220cm \\ \\ in \: kms = \frac{220}{100000} \\ \\ = 0.0022km \\ \\ hence \: number \: of \: revolutions \: to \: cover \: \\ 4.4km = \frac{4.4}{0.0022} \\ \\ = 2000 \\ \\ it \: will \: take \: 2000\:revolutions \\ \\ hope \: this \: helps....
