There are three major pairs of salivary glands in a human body:
1)the parotid:
, the two parotid glands are present on either side of the mouthand in front of both ears
2)the submandibular:
The paired submandibular glands are major salivary glands located beneath the floor of the mouth.
3)the sublingual:
The sublingual glands lie directly under the mucous membrane covering the floor of the mouth beneath the tongue.
