How many significant figures should be present in the answer of the following calculations ?

i)0.02856×298.15×0.112/0.5785

ii)5×5.364

iii)0.0125+0.7864+0.0215

generally when we need to find the number of significant figure in our answer the number of significant figures should be the minimum number of significant figure present in the question.that is if in the question the minimum number of significant figures are two the answer should also have only two significant figures.

now as given in part A the minimum number of significant figures in the question are 4 these are (0.112) so the complete answer should also have only four number of significant figures.

moving onto part B , should have only one number of significant figures but this is not possible so the number of significant after decimal would be counted. so the number of significant figure in answer should be before demical it be 1 figure and and after decimal be 3 figures.

in part C all the significant figure given in the three numbers are same that is 5. so answer must have 5 significant figures only.
