I think there must be only one solution as in the equation only x is given there is no sign of y..
2x+1=x+3
so 2x-x=3-1
So x=2
If we think about xy plane then also there must be one solution as (x, y) =(2,0)
2x+1=x+3
so 2x-x=3-1
So x=2
If we think about xy plane then also there must be one solution as (x, y) =(2,0)
