how many square metre of glass will be required for a window, which has 12 panes, each measuring 25 cm by 16 cm ?

25cm=0.25m
16cm=0.16m

glass for 1 window=area of window

=0.25m×0.16m
 = 0.04 {m}^{2}
area for 12 windows

=0.04×12
0.48 {m}^{2}
or

4800 {cm}^{2}

Area of one pane= l*b
=25*16
=400
Area of window=400*12
=4800 sq.cm
