Animal cells and plant cells have features is common, such as nucleus, cytoplasm, cell membrane, mitochondria and ribosomes.Plant and algal cells also have a cell wall and often have chloroplasts and a permanent vacuole.Bacteria and yeast cells have different structure to animal and plant cells....

.The three structures found in plant cells, but not in animal cells, are Chloroplasts, Cellwall and Central Vacuole.

Chloroplasts

â Plant cells contain chloroplasts, while animal cells do not, chloroplasts are plant cell organelles that carry out photosynthesis.Chloroplasts help the plant to produce food sugars through photosynthesis.

In animal cells, mitochondria produces the majority of food energy cells, which are referred to as food chain producers.

Photosynthesis is a series of reactions that use carbon dioxide, water and light energy to make glucose and oxygen a major difference between plants and animals.

Animals instead rely upon the producers to manufacture food and plant material that the animals may then eat and acquire their energy, plants are able to make their own food, like sugars, while animals must ingest their food.

2. Cellwall:

Cell wall is a rigid covering that protects the cell provides structural support and gives shape to the cell, tough wall gives added stability and protection to the plant cell.Fungal and protistan cells also have cell walls, cell walls are present in a plant cell but absent in an animal cell, provide structural support and give shape to the cell.

3. Central Vacuole:

The Vacuoles are large, liquid filled organelles found only in plant cells, central vacuole plays a key role in regulating the cells concentration of water in changing environmental conditions. The final major difference in plant and animal cells is the presence and absence of centrioles, with the central vacuole shrinking leaving the cell wall unsupported
