HOW MANY TEAM PLAY IN IPL

A team plays 14 matches in league stage. With total of 8 teams, each team plays a home and an away game with every other team. Top 4 teams of the league stage will qualify for playoffs. So a team can play a maximum of 17 games in an IPL season.
