How many tiles are required to cover
a floor of length 12m and breath 6m if the area covered by each is 240 sq. cm?

Answer:

length = 12 m

breadth = 6 m

area of the floor = length x breadth

                          = 12 x 6

                           = 72 m²

area of 1 tile       = 24 cm²

                           = 0.24 m²

no:of tiles = area of floor by area of 1 tile

                72 ÷ 0.24 = 300 tiles
