Hello,

we calculate the area of the rectangular plot
Ap=b×h= 25 ×13 m =325 m²

we calculate th length of outside rectangle :
B= 25 +2 +2 =29 m,
we calculate the breadth of outside rectangle:
H = 13 +2 +2 = 17 m
we calculate the area of outside rectangle:
Ar =B×H=29 x 17  = 493 m²

we calculate the area area of foot path :
A=Ar-Ap= 493 - 325 = 168 m²

we have that:
Atiles= 400 cm²=0,04 m²

we calculate the number of tiles required to cover the footpath :

n= A/Atitles=168/0,04=4200  tiles

bye :-)
