in this poem poet tell us about beauty of nature and reason of sadness of reaper.poet compare the song sung by the reaper to the song of Nightingale and cuckoo he say that the song of reaper is sweeter than song of cuckoo..

in poem we see that the poet is unable to grasp the meaning of the reapers song, but according to him it was not about the pensive tunes of song, either it was about her passion and the reaper was singing so spontaneously that it tugged at the heartstrings of the poet and he preserved it in his mind as a source of bliss that everyone wanted
