How many tiles measuring 20 cm x 20 cm each will be required to pave a 1.5 m wide footpath around
a grassy plot of 25 m x 16 m?​

Let us take the length of the plot as 25m

and the breadth of the plot as 16m.

We require a footpath of 1.5m around it

Therefore, The length will be 25m + (1.5+1.5) = 27m

The breadth will be 16m + (1.5+1.5) = 19m

Now, Area of grassy plot = 25m x 16m = 400m²

Area of footpath including grassy plot = 27m x 19m = 513m²

Therefore, area of footpath = 513m²- 400m²

= 113m²

We need 5 tiles to make 1m²

Then how many do we need to make 113m²

Therefore, 113m² x 5 tiles = 565 tiles
