Answer: - The number of tiles needed to pave the rectangular path of 5m and 3m are                           = 2500

Detailed solution: -

Given: -

Length of the tiles = 10 cm

And the breadth of the tiles = 6 cm

Length of the rectangle path       = 5 m (convert in cm)

                                                      = 5*100cm

                                                      = 500cm (1m = 100cm)

The breadth of the rectangular path

                                                      = 3m

                                                      = 3*100cm

                                                      = 300cm

We need to find how many tiles are needed to pave the rectangular path

First, we will find the areas of the rectangular path and the tiles and then divide them with each other.

The area of rectangle formula    = length * breadth

The area of the rectangular path = l * b

                                                       = 500cm*300cm\\= 150000cm^2

                    The area of the tiles = l * b

                                                       = 10cm * 6cm\\= 60 cm^2

The number of tiles needed to pave the rectangular path

= area of the path / area of the tiles

                                                        = 150000 cm^2/60cm^2\\= 2500 tiles

Therefore, the number of tiles needed to pave the rectangular path are = 2500
