Given

length = 4m

breadth = 3m

area of each tile = 20cms

To find

Area of floor = ?

Solution

________________________________

length of floor = 4m

breadth of floor = 3m

Area of floor = ?

☞ As we know that floor is in rectangular shape so,

  • Area = length × breadth

☞ Area of floor = l × b

= 4×3

= 12m²

Now convert m into cm

  • 12m² = 12 × 10000cm²
  • = 1,20,000cm²

Area of square tile = side²

☞ Area of tile = 20 × 20 cm

= 400cm²

________________________________

☞ 400²cm area is covered by 1 tile

☞ so 1 20,000m is covered by \dfrac{1,20,000}{400}

☞ so number of tiles are 300

Answer: 300tiles

Step-by-step explanation: area of room= 400cm*300cm= 120000cm²

area of tile= 400cm²

no. of tiles required= 120000cm²/400cm²

= 300 tiles
