When bob of pendulum reaches it's intial position it's considered as one oscillation or one cycle.
So it's obvious that in one oscillation bob passes mean position 2 times.
Hence, For 5 oscillations bob passes mean position (5×2 ) times. i.e 10 times.

One complete oscillation means when the Bob come to the starting position
So from the mean position it passes twice in one oscillation
So total no. is 5*2=10
which is required answer
