Answer:

The digit 4 occurs 10 times

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

To calculate the digit 4 occur in the number between 10 and 100?

Thus 4, 14, 24……94, where a=4, d=10 and n=?

d=Difference between second number and First number (14-4=10)

Step 2:

Tn =a+ (n-1) d  [using Formula]

Tn =94 (last number between 10 to 100)

94= 4+ (n-1)10------------- (1)

94–4=10n-10

Step 3:

90+10=10n

100=10n

10n=100

n = 100/10(Divide the number 100 and 10)

Step 4:

n=10

The Value of n is 10

n=10 times!!
