Solution:

Given:

=> Distance = 44 km

  • 44 × 100000 cm
  • 4400000 cm

=> Diameter of wheel = 28 cm

=> Radius of wheel = 14 cm

To Find:

=> How many times will the wheel of a car rotated in a journey of 44 km.

Formula used:

\sf{\implies Circumference\;of\;wheel = 2\pi r}

So, firstly we find circumference of wheel,

\sf{\implies Circumference\;of\;wheel = 2\pi r}

\sf{\implies 2 \times \dfrac{22}{7}\times 14}

\sf{\implies 88\;cm}

∴ Distance covered by wheel in one rotation  = Circumference of wheel

\sf{\implies So,\;total\;number\;of\;rotations=\dfrac{Total\;distance}{Distance\;covered\;in\;one\;rotation}}

\sf{\implies \dfrac{4400000\;cm}{88\;cm}}

\large{\boxed{\boxed{\sf{\implies 50,000\;revolutions}}}}

Hence, wheel of the car will rotate 50,000 times in the journey of 44 km.

  • circumference of wheel =2×22×14/7

=88cm

  • so wheel cover 88cm in one rotation
  • then,no.of rotation =44×100000/88

=50000 rotation
