1) Incisors :- They are flat in shape and are present in the front part of mouth. They are 4 in upper jaw and 4 in lower jaw. Their function is to cut or bite the food into thin pieces
2) Canine :- They are present on either side of Incisors. They are 2 in number. They are sharp and their purpose is to tear the food
3) Pre molars :- They are present on either side of canine and are 4 in number. They grind the food into pieces. They also help in chewing.
4) Molars :- They are present on the sides of pre molar and are 6 in number. They are for further grinding and chewing of food. They also help the tongue to swallow the food.
