2. Interrogative sentence

Assertive sentence

• An Assertive sentence makes only a statement and ends with a full stop.
• We put full stop ( . ) at the end of an Assertive sentence.

Interrogative sentence

• Interrogative sentences asks a question.
• We put a mark of interrogation ( ? ) at the end of an Interrogative sentence.

Imperative sentence

• An imperative sentence expresses a command (order), a request or an advice.
• Full stop ( . ) is put at the end of an imperative sentence.

Exclamatory sentence

• An Exclamatory sentence expresses a sudden and strong feeling or joy, sorrow or wonder.

Optative sentence

• An Optative sentence expresses a prayer, wish or desire.
