The base of the pyramid is a hexagon, a figure with 6 edges and 6 vertices. Because it's a pyramid, we have an edge extending up from each base vertex, and all of these edges converge at a single additional vertex for a total of 12 edges and 7 vertices.

Answer:

In a hexagonal prism :-

Number of vertices

→ 2 × ( Number of sides of the polygon )

→ 2 × 6

→ 12

Number of faces

→ ( Number of sides of the polygon ) + 2

→ 6 + 2

→ 8

Number of edges

[.: V + F - E = 2 , Euler's formula ]

→ V + F - 2

→ 12 + 8 - 2

→ 18
