how many wooden cubicle blocks of edge 20 CM can be cut from a log of wood of side 8 m by 5 M by 18 cm assuming there is no wastage

Dimensions of big block

L=8m
B=5m
H=80cm (AS U SAID)

Changing length and breath in cm

L=800cm (1m=100cm)

B=500cm

H=80CM

VOLUME =lxbxh

=800x500x80

=64000x500

=32000000cm³


Dimensions of small block

Side =20cm

It is cube the volume =side ³

=20³

=8000cm³

Block can be cut = volume of big block / volume of small

=32000000/8000

=32000/8

=4000 blocks
