hello friend...
first of all to be a surgeon you have to complete MBBS whose duration is 5 years 6 months. after that you have to get admission in PG with course MS ( master of surgery ) choosing subject cardiology whose duration is 3 years. therefore it takes to about 8 years 6 months to be a cardiac surgeon.
