The figures that we use in India and in Western / International places are different

The powers of ten from 0 to 4 will be called same in both places

Like we say ten for 10 in both India and International

Similarly, 10^2=100 is said as hundred in both, 10^3=1000  as thousand and 10^4=10000 as ten thousand.

But 10^5=100000, this is called lakh in India but in western countries, they say as hundred thousand

10^6=1000000 this is called ten lakhs in India but in western countries it is said as one million

Thus, million is called as ten lakhs in Indian rupees and it has six zeros
