How matter change its state explain the factors which are responsible for this
Answers
1. Temperature
2. Pressure
Explanation:
Any substance that occupies space and has mass is known as matter. The two factors that affect the change in state of matter are temperature and pressure.
When we increase temperature, the force of attraction between the molecules weakens. As a result, the molecules collide rapidly and thus the kinetic energy of molecules increases. Therefore, the state of matter changes. Also, when we apply pressure on the solid then again there will be change in state from solid to liquid.
For example, when we heat ice then the force of attraction in the solid, that is ice, weakens. As a result, molecules collide rapidly and ice gets turned into liquid. Whereas when we apply pressure on ice it will change into liquid.
In case of gases, when we increase pressure, the molecules come closer to each other and thus, again there will be change in state of matter from gases to liquid. Also, when we increase the temperature of liquid it will start to boil and finally leads to evaporation.
For example, when water vapors are compressed then due to pressure vapors turn into liquid. And, when we boil water then liquid turns into gas.
