Answer:

=> Capitalism is an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and their operation for profit.

=> Imperialism is a policy or ideology of extending a country's rule over foreign nations, often by military force or by gaining political and economic control of other areas.

=> Communism is a philosophical, social, political, economic ideology and movement whose ultimate goal is the establishment of a communist society, namely a socioeconomic order structured upon the ideas of common ownership of the means of production and the absence of social classes, money and the state.

From the above explanations, the spread of communism in Asia is likely less because people are aware of democracy, it's outcomes and benefits which they will never want to let go for it is, "By the people, of the people and for the people!"

Answer:

Argument: Responding to the previous answer, the idea of capitalism did not decrease the spread of communism in Asia, but in fact, it's the opposite.

Evidence: We all knew that during the European Imperialism, many Asian countries were suppressed and they resisted the Imperialism mostly due to the fear of losing their culture and the dislike to westernization. When the idea of capitalism came to Asia, the idea was strongly resisted as well. First of all, according to Marx, capitalism could lead to communism -- which did happen in Asia when the lower class overthrew the government (ex: Taiping Rebellion). Also, Communism was still a new thing during that time, so no one had much opinions about it, making the idea of Communism very attractive to Asia as it was thought to be an effective weapon against westernization and also as a way to gain independence.
Applying Logic: Imagine that Asia is a child. Europe give unfair treatments to the child everyday by beating him up and stealing his stuff. Later, Europe, who the child hates a lot, want the child to learn about something he doesn't want to. Will the child resist or obey if he have a choice?

Connection of Modern World: Moreover, to the previous answer, why do you think there are communism in Asia today (China, Cuba, Laos, North Korea, Vietnam, etc.) if the idea of communism did not spread back then?
